Getting rid of excess: Dining Room Edition

January 28, 2016

I’ve been reading the Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I’ve only made it through a few chapters (reading too many books at the same time), but it’s sticking with me! PURGE! Get rid of all the stuff you never use and don’t like! So, I’m getting better at not bringing in crap, but taking out stuff takes a bit more time. I’m doing section by section of my apartment. Starting with my dining room! Now… my dining room really just consists of my dining room table, a china cabinet and a bar cart. Pretty easy, yea? Well, I wish I had taken before photos. There were tons of empty wine bottles filling up my bar cart and bags of snacks I intended people to eat that they didn’t.

My china cabinet is a place I keep my camera supplies (mostly hidden in the bottom cabinet), and also my craft supplies! This was starting to get messy and things were piling up with my scrapbooking subscription. So I took out a lot of my scrapbooking stuff and put it in my closet drawers that have gone unused. I left my tape and a bunch of notebooks because they’re aesthetically pleasing. 🙂

I’m getting somewhere!
